Bodhi Method

Danielle’s Story

Twenty-three years ago, Danielle sought out a career in the fitness industry becoming a fitness instructor and personal trainer. During her teenage years she struggled with an eating disorder and depression. Exercise provided her the mind-body connection to help develop more self-awareness. Danielle began her journey in the health field to help others feel the connection she felt with her mind and body through movement, providing her with a deep desire to help guide and educate others in their health journey.

A few years later Danielle started training for fitness competitions. The world of fitness competitions was extremely impactful on her curiosity to how nutrition affects the body and how we can change and transform through food. Danielle also started making the connection between what we put in the body and how it directly impacts the mind and emotions. Danielle spent over a decade immersing herself into fitness, nutrition, studying the endocrine system, and digestive system. Discovering that when we are in balance opens up space for more self-awareness, not just physically, mentally, or emotionally, but spiritually as well. In 2012 Danielle took her first yoga nidra meditation class at a local yoga studio, this forever changed her life.

Danielle’s first yoga nidra meditation class was enlightening; she felt her nervous system releasing years of imprint stress and trauma. This is when she started to explore and incorporate meditation into her life as a daily practice. Journaling her thoughts and feelings allowed her to go introspective and heal herself mentally and emotionally. Over the course of a few years her relationship with clients became much more than personal training. Danielle realized that she was using personal training as a tool to help clients heal themselves. In 2017, Danielle received her certificate as a Life Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner. Also, doing other beneficial holistic modality courses to help serve her clients in a healthy lifestyle, mind and body.

Danielle say’s there is joy in helping clients live a healthier, more fulfilling life from the inside-out. She is a firm believer that we must do the deep meditative work to feel it, live, and help guide others in their life process. This requires focus, discipline, slowing down to stay self-aware, and using wellness tools to stay balanced or regain balance during times of stress. This is a life process that she is wholeheartedly passionate about and feels is a gift she has been given at a young age through her own challenges and adversities.
