Accountability

Definition of accountability :  the quality or state of being accountable; especially :  an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility or to account for one's actions.

All we can be accountable for is our own thoughts, feelings and choices in life. If we are looking to change, being in a self-aware state of mind and the willingness to see the subconscious patterns come to a conscious action is the breaking barrier to stopping unhealthy thoughts, patterns or behaviors. We all have the ability to be a victim of our minds or the inspirational creative mind, full of love and compassion for ourselves. We may find that we could be in the creative mind and one environmental influence or thought can trigger the victim mind into a negative spiral. We are all human and have experienced this on some level.

One thing I have learned is being aware of situations before stepping into a space. Setting limits and boundaries with every relationship in my life and what I am able to offer others. When that negative voice talks to me in my head calling me ugly or saying I'm not good enough, trying to sabotage my happiness and efforts. I talk right back to her and say, "I am beautiful.  I am good enough". I struggle just like everyone else. But, my body is the physical showing everyday I am working past my inner-demons and holding myself accountable.

Everything we have in life is from our life choices and the willingness to break past our victim mindset. What's one negative thought about yourself that has gone through your mind today? Every time that thought creeps into your head replace it with a positive thought you feel about yourself!
